Heel pain is one of the most common foot problems that a podiatrist encounters.  In fact, over 40 million people suffer from heel pain.  There are many causes of heel pain but the most common cause is a conditon called plantar fasciitis.

Plantar fasciitis, is an inflammation of a ligament that attaches to the heel bone on one end and to the ball of the foot on the other.  When the ligament is tight, it will pull harder than it normally should, which causes a swelling and then pain.

Plantar fasciitis can be very debilitating.  However, if treated early, then the condition can be short lived. Our aim at njheelpaincenters.com is to educate the public on the causes and treatments of various heel pain ailments.  You might not need a foot doctor, but I highly recommend that you get the information you need to make a decision that is right for you.  Please feel free to get your free copy of, “You Do Not Have to Suffer With Heel Pain.” In addition, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email.  We are here for you.
